Cannot believe we launched Lavish Lodge Interiors a year ago today 🤩 In the space of 12 months, we have took on staff, and moved to a premises twice the size. So we used a company called @periodcreations for our beams. We sent them the measurements of the room and they made them at their workshop. They then come and installed and finished with a wax stain. Its all done in a day with no mess. They fit the beams onto wood pinths attached the to ceiling. This is a great point, because a lot of people wonder the same thing, and we did when we were designing our kitchen! With the design of our kitchen, it didn’t leave us with any workspace to not have the sink in the island. So we went for a white composite sink, so it almost blended into the island and didn’t stand out. Dont think i have done a video on this before. But i do get asked alot 🤩 call me old fashioned, but yeah i do paint all my skirts and arcs white. I’m too chicken to try colour drenching 😂 the paint i use is the @duluxuk “Once” brilliant white, in Eggshell finish. This was a new finish for me to try and i was really impressed, i didn’t want flat matt, but didn’t want that piano gloss shine, so eggshell was the perfect inbetween, with a soft sheen. Hey guys this flooring has gone viral a few times now. I’m buzzing at how many people love it as much as we do. So the wood is from @bandq_uk it’s a Chevron style engineered oak. If you are going to invest in this flooring, I would definitely recommend having a professional fit, rather than trying yourself, as it can be tricky. Guys you know me i like to be honest. Well i tried “farrow & ball” and i really wasn’t impressed😅 The colour was lovely, but the finish and application i didn’t rate. Replying to @Sam Hills so I picked a focal point in the room and used that to decide where and how the beams would flow in that room. We also used different sizes and thicknesses depending on the impact we wanted in each room. I know beams probably aren’t meant to looks as neat and uniform but this is a look I like. Hey guys don’t panic because the wax doesn’t actually touch any of the surface of the bowl. It burns down in a funnel and as long as you’re wick doesn’t touch the bottom of the bowl it won’t touch the surface. Therefore, most bowls will be safe to use. hey sure this is an @Evonic Fires electric fire from @elbfireplaces_and_stoves . Honestly, it’s one of the best things we invested in with this renovation 🩵 As it’s electric, it means we can use it all year round, even if it’s just for the ambient lighting. That’s what I like about an electric fire, even in summer you can sit chilling on the sofa with the nice flicker of the flames. GUEST ROOM - Reveal 🩵 this was a nice little project for me and my grandad and it’s turned out amazing 👌 So I ordered the wood panelling from @skirting4u after being recommended by some lodgers on here 👍 we went for the Edwardian Dado & Gemini Beading. hey lodgers, so the majority of our cushions on the website come with feather inserts. We also have a range of cushions that come with fibre inserts which are slightly cheaper. If you look on the product description, it will tell you which insert comes with the cushion, whether it be feather or fibre. Either way our cushions are super plump and hold their shape. So our front door is a composite door from a brand called @endurancedoors ! This brand came highly recommended as their doors are super secure and very safe. With the design we opted for as plain as possible, so no letterbox and no door handle. I just wanted a simple black door with satin glass. I am soo excited to start this panelling in the guest room. We used a company called @skirting4u for the wood. When we bought this house, the garden sold it for me straight away. BUT, I definitely underestimated the maintenance work needed to keep it looking bang on 🫣 The front garden is small enough for me to maintain with my busy work load. However the rest I needed some help with. We are so lucky to have a beautiful big garden. But I would defo say to anyone buying a house for a bigger garden, look at the running cost to keep it looking tidy and maintained. I was fooling myself thinking it wasn’t goi ▶0:22・

So the console table that we have in our hall was from Homesense 🩵 it’s a stunning deep bronze hammered metal which I thought was really unusual and I love how unique the legs on this table are 👍 as soon as I saw this I knew it would look perfect in the hallway.
